Revelyx Bio launches to commercialize ready-to-use liquid botulinum toxin YY003
Former Revance president Dustin Sjuts will lead the clinical development of the prefilled syringe toxin.
Revelyx Bio has launched with the exclusive global rights to develop and commercialize YY003, an investigational recombinant botulinum toxin type A that aims to eliminate manual reconstitution in your practice. The product is a ready-to-use liquid formulation delivered in a prefilled syringe, produced via an E. coli expression system. For injectors, this format directly targets common clinic pain points around mixing variables, preparation time, and dosing consistency.
The venture is led by chief executive officer Dustin Sjuts, who brings twenty years of industry experience, including the previous commercial launches of Daxxify and the RHA Collection of dermal fillers during his tenure as president of Revance Therapeutics. Revelyx secured the rights to YY003 through a licensing agreement with Chongqing Claruvis Pharmaceutical, covering all global territories excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
The clinical pipeline for this molecule is already established. The FDA cleared the Investigational New Drug application for YY003 in September 2024, and Chongqing Claruvis's related recombinant toxin, Retoxin, secured approval from China's National Medical Products Administration in March 2026. For the global market, Revelyx is preparing to release topline Australia-based Phase II study results in Q3 2026. This randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled trial evaluated the safety and efficacy of YY003 in adults with moderate-to-severe glabellar lines.
